He grew up in Southern California competing in the bass fishing tournament scene as a young man, then moved to Central Florida and quickly became a student of the lakes in the area, learning the patterns, structures, and seasonal movements. WHAT TO BRING
We provide all the fishing gear, live bait (upon request), rods, reels, cold drinks and snacks. You just need to bring a few things:REQUIRED

• Sunscreen (reef-safe preferred)
• Hat
• Polarized sunglasses
• Comfortable shoes that can get wet (no flip-flops)
• Light rain jacket or layers (Florida weather can change fast)

• Camera/phone with waterproof case for photos

DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE?
Yes. Anyone 16 years and older needs a valid Florida freshwater fishing license. You can purchase one quickly online before your trip.WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TRIP?
Rods, reels, tackle, live bait (upon request), cold bottled water, and light snacks. We also provide a cooler with ice and will clean any keepers for you.ARE LIFE JACKETS PROVIDED?
Yes. We provide U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets for everyone on board. However, if you have your own that you prefer (for better comfort or fit), feel free to bring it.CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages. We ask that you drink responsibly.IS SMOKING ALLOWED?
Cigarette smoking is not permitted on the boat. However, cigar smoking is welcome.HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN JOIN A TRIP?
Up to 4 people are included in the base price. Each additional person is $50 (maximum 6 people total).DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO FISH?
No. While this is a fishing trip, we understand that sometimes not everyone will participate in the fishing aspect of the trip. Whether everyone is fishing or most of a group are just along for the ride, Captain Mikes goal to provide everyone with a great time on the water.
Those who are not fishing are not required to get a fishing license.WHAT IF IT RAINS OR THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
Safety is a priority. If lightning is within 10 miles or conditions are unsafe, we will not depart or will get off the water. No refund, but we will happily reschedule you at no extra charge.DO YOU GUARANTEE THAT WE'LL CATCH FISH?
No. We work hard to put you on fish, but we cannot guarantee bites or catches.WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Sunscreen, hat, polarized sunglasses, comfortable shoes that can get wet (no flip-flops), light layers or rain jacket, and a good attitude.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand plans can change, so here’s clear breakdown of our policy.
CUSTOMER CANCELLATION
A $100 deposit is required to secure your trip.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the trip start time will receive a 50% refund of the deposit or the full deposit can be transferred to a new date.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip start time will receive no refund/deposit transfer.
WEATHER POLICY
Your safety is a priority. Captain Mike will make the final call on whether conditions are safe. Note that Florida is known for rain showers; please be prepared to enjoy your trip in the Florida rain.
We will get off the water or not depart for:
• Lightning within 10 miles
• Strong winds, heavy rain, or thunderstorms that make fishing unsafe
• Any other hazardous weather conditionsIn the case of a weather delay or cancellation:
• If there is a significant weather delay Captain Mike will re-asses
your final balance due.
• If needed, we will work with you to reschedule at no extra charge (subject to availability).
• No deposit refund is provided.
CAPTAIN CANCELLATION
If Captain Mike must cancel due to mechanical issues, illness, or any other reason, you will receive a full refund of the deposit or the option to reschedule.
NO-SHOW POLICY
If you do not show up for your scheduled trip without notice there will be no refunds/transfers.
RESCHEDULING
We’re flexible and happy to help you reschedule whenever possible. The more notice you can give us, the easier it is to find a good new date.
